New Ulm Nominated for Reader’s Digest Nicest Places in America!
Dance with a gnome in New Ulm

Reader’s Digest is looking for the 2018 nicest place in America, and we think that place is New Ulm! Reader’s Digest doesn’t use data or an algorithm to find the Nicest Places in America — they rely on the stories of people, told in their own words and with their own pictures and videos, so if you have any stories about New Ulm’s “niceness” and you would like to add it to our nomination, please post them in the comments section below our nomination. The more stories we have, the better!

Every qualifying nomination will be published on readersdigest.com, which gets about 10-to-15 million readers every month! The November issue will include a spread on the ten nicest places in America, with the winner making the cover. Reader’s Digest reaches nearly 20 million readers in the U.S. every month. This year, the winner will be unveiled on Good Morning America!

From a troop of Boy Scouts aiding in a car accident to the community rallying behind one of our own in need, New Ulm is filled with genuine people! Thank you to all of those that continue to make our town such a special place to visit or to live in! Keep up the good work!

If you want to help us become a finalist, please share your heartwarming stories of New Ulm’s kindness either in the Reader’s Digest comments or by using the hashtags, #NicestPlacesInAmerica, #NewUlm!
