Old meets new in New Ulm

New Ulm is thrilled to be the focus of a recent Explore Minnesota Tourism article!  Author Erica Wacker from Explore Minnesota describes the rich history of New Ulm and its influence on the culture in the area today in her blog “Old-World Charm Greets Visitors to New Ulm.

“Mixed in with the old are plenty of new things to see, too, from downtown restaurants to museum exhibits. Even if you’ve visited before, now’s the time to discover how New Ulm’s rich past continues to shape its ever-changing present.”

The article features New Ulm’s best known haunts, including Schell’s Brewery, Morgan Creek Vineyards, The Brown County Historical Society, and more.  New Ulm’s rich history and German lineage can be seen throughout the town, from the Glockenspiel which plays a show three times a day in the historic downtown, to Schell’s which brews beer fit for any fan of a German brew, and finally the restaurants and their authentic German cuisine.

Next time you’re in the area, stop by for a day, a weekend, or even just an afternoon and say “Hallo!”  Learn more about attractions and view sample itineraries here.  Read the Explore Minnesota article here: Old-World Charm Greets Visitors to New Ulm.
