While others are out hunting deer, celebrate charm and tradition by being a part of New Ulm’s annual Shopping Opener and hunt for great deals and unique finds instead! Shoppers make it a tradition to kick off shopping season, but New Ulm has been hosting our annual Shopping Opener since before boutique shopping was cool! Eat, stay, shop and play this weekend for Holiday Shopping Opener, November 8-10, 2019!

Our specialty shops have joined together for open houses, tasty treats, events and more! Don’t miss out on all the creativity at the GnomeMade Market through out town over the weekend and make sure to check out the New Ulm Women’s Expo and Craft Fair with over 100 vendor booths, crafts, wellness, home businesses and more!

The opener kicks off on November 7th with a GnomeMade Market Preview, Yoga 101 at The WELLness Collective, and the Power of the Purse United Way Fundraiser in the evening.

Check out the Wreath Workshop at A to Zinnia on Friday November 8th as well as August Schell’s Brewery Christmas open house, Wine Diva Days at Morgan Creek and finish the evening at the MonaLena for Tristan Blue music!

Saturday don’t miss out on the Women’s Expo & Craft Fair from 9am-2pm at Jefferson Elementary School, and have some Maid Rites for lunch at our local American Legion.

Sunday you can stop at all the GnomeMade Market locations that you just haven’t made it to yet, to be sure you’re not missing out on that perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for person in your life!

New this year: several shops have come together to offer the Hometown Holiday Hunt, where shoppers can get “shopping bucks” and register to win prizes!
