The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce welcomed Elizabeth Taplin to New Ulm! Elizabeth moved from Mankato back in July of last year and then started in August as the new Manager of Papa Murphy’s Pizza! She has been the Manager of the Papa Murphy’s in Mankato since 2015 and when she made the move to New Ulm, they were able to transfer her to the Papa Murphy’s location in New Ulm! She said the staff in Mankato was larger and they are looking to increase the size of their staff in New Ulm before the busy winter months. She explained how they see more business during the cooler months, as folks don’t want to turn the ovens on in the heat of summer. She did mention they have a pan pizza offering that can be made on the grill, for any grill masters looking for a new challenge. Papa Murphy’s is take-and-bake pizza, where dine in is not offered, so they weren’t affected too greatly by the pandemic, only having to close for a few days due to quarantine/exposure rules, where they took the down time to get in and sanitize and clean everything.
