The Minnesota Twins are holding a series of ‘Heritage Nights’ this season. They immediately thought of New Ulm when they started to plan the German Heritage Night! They reached out and asked if the Chamber/CVB wanted to be a part of it, and we are beyond thrilled at the opportunity!
Get ready to experience the richness of German heritage as we celebrate the deep-rooted traditions and dynamic spirit of German culture! Join us for “German Heritage Night” at Target Field on Friday, September 27 when the Twins take on the Baltimore Orioles at 7:10 p.m. This special “German Heritage Night” ticket package includes your ticket to the game plus an exclusive German Night Twins hat!
Gate 6 – New Ulm will host a pre-party outside of Gate 6 starting at 5:10pm (when gates open) until the start of the game. Festivities here include live music by Dain’s Dutchmen, entertainment/dancing/photo opps with The Narren and Hermann The German, games, contests, giveaways, and more!
First Pitch – The night will include an honorary first pitch by New Ulm’s ‘Hermann the German’ to former Twins player and three-time All-Star player Terry Steinbach! New Ulm and New Ulm’s ‘Hermann The German,” and more!
7th Inning Stretch – Dain’s Dutchmen, The Narren, & Hermann the German will perform during the 7th Inning Stretch! They’ll be live and on the jumbo screens in the stadium!
And more! New Ulm video footage will be shown on the stadium screens and we hope the announcers enjoy our fun and talk about New Ulm and our German heritage on tv coverage as well. The timing of this game is the perfect opportunity to invite everyone to come down and experience Oktoberfest in New Ulm taking place the following weekends (Oct 4-5 & 11-12).
Busing/Ticket Package Options
The Chamber is offering bus rides to and from the game as part of an exclusive ticket package. We will have two buses, both departing from the Cash Wise parking lot, the first at 2:30pm and the second at 4:30pm.

Hat Pick-up Information
You’ll pick up your exclusive item on the day of the game (only) at Target Field Station, located around the corner from Gate 6 at the Northwest Corner of Target Field (near 5th Street and the light-rail). The city of New Ulm, the most German city in America, has planned extra festivities at Gate 6 to celebrate the state’s German heritage. A valid ticket purchased through this special ticket package (or through the Chamber) must be presented in order for you to receive your exclusive item. Pick up will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run through 7:30 p.m. Exclusive ticket packages are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis…purchase your seats today!
