The Willkommen Committee recently welcomed Minnesota Concrete Floor Coatings as a new member of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce. Minnesota Concrete Floor Coatings is run by Andrew Heisel and his father, Carl. Carl started the business 8 years ago after he decided to buy all of the equipment to coat his own garage as a do-it-yourself project. Though Andrew still runs a farm, he has been a full-time worker and 50% owner of the business with his dad for 3 years. Based out of Winthrop, they will travel up to an hour away to serve clients. They do non-toxic, non-slip polyurea coatings for garages, basements, and patios, and they offer a wide range of colors. Their product is 20 times stronger than epoxy and comes with a 20-year guarantee. They charge by the square foot, and the technique and product they use help to hide any imperfections left in the base concrete.
