NUACS-Brandt-Schulte

The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently visited New Ulm Area Catholic Schools to meet the new President and the new Elementary School Principal. Sister Julie Brandt, SSND, ED.D. is the new President of NUACS. She was born in Owatonna and has family from the Mankato area. She began as an elementary school teacher, then a principal, and worked at schools throughout MN, SD, and MO. She recently completed her Doctorate. Karen Schulte is the new Elementary School Principal. She is from Bird Island, where her husband is a farmer. She taught for several years in elementary schools before earning her Masters degree. For the past 6 years she has been an education consultant. NUACS has approximately 200 elementary students and 180 high school students enrolled. Though the kids enjoying summer may disagree, both ladies shared that they are most looking forward to the kids coming back and starting the school year!
