The Willkommen Committee recently visited Flandrau State Park to welcome their new Assistant Park Supervisor, Bob Horstmann. 

Bob is originally from New Ulm, graduated from MLC, and moved to Fargo.  He had always wanted to work in parks, but a counselor in high school talked him out of it.  While he was in Fargo, he decided to get his Masters in Natural Resource Management and pursue his dream.  Bob then worked as a park ranger in the Wisconsin Dells area for 10 years before seeing the open position at Flandrau.  He is now one of the two full-time office administrative staff at the park.  He is excited to be back in his hometown.
