The Willkommen Committee recently visited Antiques Plus to welcome them as a new member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.

Antiques Plus has been owned and operated by Earl and Lynn Buck for two years, although the store has been around for 30 years.  Lynn, according to her husband, is an “antique Guru.”  She started in the antiques business in 1964 and had worked at Antiques Plus for about 20 years.  As times, tastes, and trends changed, they had to change too.  “We reinvented ourselves because the older customers are not buying, they’re downsizing; and the younger group is minimalist.”  Not only do they travel all over and work with several different dealers, they say the key is that their products are “priced reasonably.”  They hear customers saying that it’s really something walking into an antiques store and actually being able to buy something.
