The April issue of Mpls/StPaul Magazine has listed New Ulm as one of four must-see weekend getaway in Minnesota in 2016!  The issue has one location for each season, and New Ulm is the chosen destination for Fall.  We think this is great!  Usually, when people think of fall in MN, they think they should go north to see the fall colors.  Well, don’t forget the picturesque Minnesota River Valley National Scenic Byway (of which New Ulm is a part of)!  Some of the most beautiful fall foliage can be seen in these beautiful valleys along the Minnesota River, and New Ulm is stunning in the fall!  Come for our Oktoberfest, which was just voted #5 in the nation last year by USA TODAY 10Best. And be sure you climb the 99 steps to the top of Hermann The German to see the spectacular view of New Ulm from 102’ high!
