New Ulm’s own August Schell Brewery, the second oldest family-owned brewery in the United States, has taken home the silver medal in the Vienna-Style Lager category at the World Beer Cup competition.  This year’s competition included nearly 7,000 beers from 1,907 breweries.  The World Beer Cup is hosted by the Brewers Association and is held every two years.  It is described as the “most prestigious beer competition in the world.”  Three other Minnesota breweries also won medals at this year’s competition. Bemidji Brewing Company, Sunken City, and Bauhaus Brew Labs each took home bronze medals.  You can read more about the 4 MN Breweries who won awards at GrowlerMag.com.

Congrats, Schell’s Brewery!
