Hermann the German and Shrimp Kebabs: Exploring and Eating in New Ulm
Tangled Up In Food

New Ulm is a mecca for foodies, shoppers, and explorers!  We recently had a foodie/travel blogger and freelance writer in New Ulm and she had a great time exploring and eating her way around town!  Stacy Brooks, who lives in Minneapolis, has a blog called Tangled Up In Food and has been published in the Star Tribune and City Pages, among other news outlets.

There’s so much to do year-round in New Ulm, and Stacy loved the walkability of the town: “One of the things I loved most about New Ulm is that it’s an incredibly walkable destination for tourists.  All of the shops, restaurants, and attractions I visited were within a couple miles of my bed and breakfast—it reminded me of my time in small German cities like Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Bacharach.”

Stacy explored many of the attractions around New Ulm, and spent lots of time in and out of the downtown shops.  Which ones were her favorite?  You’ll have to read her blog post to find out.

And the food!  Only click the link if you’re ready to get hungry!  Stacy describes in detail some of the delicious food she had while in town at Bingham Hall B&B, Lola – An American Bistro, The Backerei, George’s Fine Steaks & Spirits, and Historic New Ulm Turner Hall.
