Travel Blogger Katy Flint recently published a list of The Very Best Midwest Weekend Trips for All Travelers. She highlights 15 different destinations in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.  At the very top of her list: New Ulm, Minnesota!

Katy organized her list into three categories: couples, outdoor lovers, and families. She highlights New Ulm as a couples trip. Here’s a little of what she had to say about New Ulm: 

“New Ulm, Minnesota has a rich German heritage that you’ll see virtually everywhere! Head to this small community with your special someone to feast on delicious donuts, beer, wine, and do some exploring! The must-do’s while in town are climbing to the top of Hermann the Giant to enjoy the view, touring Schell’s Brewery, wandering German Park, and wine tasting at Morgan Creek Vineyards!

If history is your thing tour the Harkin Store, the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, and the Brown County Historical Society & Museum! Make sure to grab a donut (or 12) from The Backerei and rest your weary head at the Best Western Plus! You’ll come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle adult responsibilities!”
