Women’s Day Magazine recently featured an article, 18 American Destinations That Look European”  and you best believe New Ulm is on the list! After all, we are the city of charm and are more than proud of our German-American heritage. Proof of that is our many German-inspired festivals that we celebrate every year! Three times a year, to be exact. However, when we aren’t celebrating, our German influence is shown throughout the city. From the Hermann the German statue, to the 45-foot, free-standing Glockenspiel that is one of the few carillons of it’s size in the world, to the unique architecture through-out our historic downtown and residential areas.
